During the second half of April, I’m sewing along with Tasia at Sewaholic.net. A bunch of other talented seamsters and I are all making her just-released Crescent skirt pattern. Here’s a reflection on my efforts to sew well.
I spent part of this past weekend searching for fabrics to use for my upcoming projects. I stumbled upon this cotton voile at Fine Fabrics, and its design reminded me of the recently highlighted wrap dress on BurdaStyle in a Honeysuckle pink (the Pantone color of the year, remember?).
I’m starting to realize how focus is going to be important as my sewing develops. I need to stick strong to the patterns and projects to which I’ve already committed myself. Otherwise, a crazy pile of fabric and patterns and unfinished projects could ensue.
With the goal of focus in mind, I also found this satin organza with help from Susanne that would work for the Crescent skirt Sew-Along.

Isn’t it lovely?! I can’t wait for April sewing.
