When I arrived home from work on Thursday evening, I had a wonderful surprise waiting at my door – a package from A Fashionable Stitch. Inside was the pincushion that I won during the Sew Weekly‘s month of pincushion giveaways. I love it! In the little bit of sewing that I’ve been able to do since Thursday (mostly keeping up with the Crescent skirt Sew-Along), I’ve had pins everywhere I need them – from the sewing machine, to the cutting floor, to the ironing board. Sunni has definitely hit on a wonderfully cute and seriously functional item here.
The actual pincushion is smaller than I expected, but now that I’ve gotten some use out of it, I think the size is appropriate for both my wrist and the pincushion’s function.
Since Sunni was already sending me this pincushion and since she was having a sale, I went ahead and ordered a couple items from her Etsy store while I had her attention: a tailor’s ham and a seam roll.

These will come in handy as I finish my trench coat in the Ready-To-Wear Tailoring Sew-Along. And, hopefully through many, many more future projects as well.
Thanks, Sunni, for making such wonderful products!
