In between Mad Men sewing this week (and work – lots and lots of work), I’ve gotten two lovely notices that suggest my luck is with me these days. First, I was the winner of a book by Abby Slovin called Letters In Cardboard Boxes thanks to a giveaway hosted by Sarah of Rhinestones and Telephones. If you want to learn more, Sarah posted a thoughtful interview with Abby on her blog here. (And then watch this space for my very first interview and a chance to win a copy of this book for yourself!)
Second, I was the winner of Fashion Sewing for Everyone by Adele P. Margolis thanks to another giveaway hosted by Vicki of VickikateMakes. Vicki posted a series of posts detailing the wealth of knowledge in this book, and I can’t wait to absorb all that it has to say from my own copy.
Sarah, Vicki, and Abby, thank you so much for making my month. And for expanding my library, which is always a good thing.
UPDATE: My luck continues! I just received another Versatile Blogger award from Anne of Mercury – Handmade Fashion, and what great company she’s put me in, check it out!
Thank you so very much, Anne! As per acceptance of this award, here’s a link to a previous post where I revealed five (very benign) secrets about myself.
Hooray for good luck! Hope your work calms down a bit soon!
Woa! You’re using my button, I’m so happy XD I made that Versatile blogger button (a while back) because the previous one was so ugh (this one’s a little less ugh I think) and now I’m seeing it around the t’internets. I love it!
How fun! It was the one on Anne’s blog, so I figured it was the one to add to my blog. I bet I’m a direct descendent from your redesign!
