What: The Ivory Beignet
Where: To Seattle! I hopped on an airplane and flew up to visit my brother, sister-in-law, and niece since my husband was already up there for work. I caused quite a ruckus in the airport since for whatever reason I decided to opt out of the naked machine. The amazingly unfriendly TSA employees had me wait at the front of the screening line for fifteen minutes as a sign to everyone else that opting out was not really an option. They might as well have put a giant A on my chest. By the time they pulled me aside for my pat down, I was in tears. The whole experience was incredibly dehumanizing. Thankfully, the flight went quickly since I’m really enjoying the book I’m reading right now (Letters in Cardboard Boxes, which I first wrote about here), and then I had a lovely dinner with my family by the water. The green sweater and green Van Gogh in the background were my interpretation of Friday’s green theme.

What: The “Paint Me a ?” Minoru and the Betty Jeans
Where: To explore the San Juan Islands with my family. Though this spot is supposed to be great for whale watching, none passed by while we were there. We did see lots of other sea life, as well as sheep, goats, llamas, alpacas, chickens, horses, and cats.

What: The Betty Jeans and a self-silk-screened shirt: a dog in white on a brown T shirt
Where: To island hop in an attempt to get back to the mainland in time to catch a flight back home with my husband. We hadn’t realized you needed to get to the docks three-and-a-half hours early in order to get your car on the ferry. Our crazy plans almost got us back in time, but we still missed our flight. Thankfully there were seats on the last flight of the day.

Nice job with all those outfits. Now you have me curious about silk screening.

I just love your style, Amy! I love that you’re a jeans gal, like me, but you always looks so pulled together and chic!
