My Luck Continues

I just got back from a crazy, intense work conference that was so much fun.  It was like science camp for adults – I was up at 6:30 am so that I could sneak in a run before breakfast and then it was non-stop phenomenal science until I fell asleep, typically around 3 am.  I’m exploding with new ideas, but I need to catch up with my sleep first!

I’d planned to keep blogging while there, but I only had time to post the iPad case.  Now that I’m back, I can finally make the time for a bit of blogging.  First up:  a post about my continued good luck.  In the last few weeks I’ve managed to win two more giveaways.  The first was the Sewaholic Thurlow trousers pattern giveaway hosted by My Messings.  The pattern has already arrived, and I can’t wait to make the shorts.  I’ve had a lot of luck with Sewaholic patterns, and I have no doubt that I’ll love this pattern as well.

The second was the Indygo Junction’s Coronation Clutch pattern and fabric giveaway hosted by the Sew Weekly.  It’s supposedly the perfect size for an iPad, and with as much as I used my iPad this past week, having another case will be a very good thing.

I’ve also been the recipient of three more Versatile Blogger awards from The Very Best Jumper, The Stitch Sharer, and Petite Mess.  Thank you all for your kind words and recognition.  Please know that I enjoy reading each of your blogs as well. Instead of jumping through the award’s hoops another time, I’ll direct you to my original acceptance post if you’re interested in learning seven random facts about me.

Alright, now to continue easing myself back into home life. I foresee a bit of sewing, a nice run, and a lot of science for the rest of the day.

  1. Wow, I hope you are buying lottery tickets with your recent run of luck. 🙂 Glad your conference was so invigorating!

  2. I can totally see those Sewaholic trousers on you! They have a really nice silhouette. Sounds like you had a really energizing time. I’ve done one conference and am about to attend another this summer… I love the bootcamp experience but it takes awhile to “land” back home!

  3. Slightly belated comment, I’m only just back and catchin up on blog reading, I’m glad the pattern arrived with you nice and quickly 😀 Looking forward to seeing your version!
