Okay, so I didn’t unpack the box with my sewing patterns in it yesterday. But, I did dig through it a bit. I came up with two patterns to add to the Pattern Pyramid I wrote about yesterday and keep it growing.
Butterick 2304 is vintage, circa 1963 perhaps, in bust size 34″. It’s described as a “misses’ proportioned slip and petticoat”, and it’s going for upwards of $20 elsewhere on the internets. To keep the modern-vintage balance of the current Pyramid, I also chose Vogue V8804 (bust sizes 36″ through 44″). It’s one of Claire Shaeffer’s Custom Couture Collection patterns, which I love for the instructions alone. This one says it will teach you the secrets of hand buttonholes, the coveted three-piece sleeve, a quilted lining, and applying braid on ribbon trim.
If either of these patterns peaks your interest, enter the giveaway by commenting on yesterday’s Pattern Pyramid post.
What a lovely butterick pattern. I’m not such a big fan of the vogue pattern. Luckely there are so many different patterns out there, you’ll always find something that will fit the style you like 🙂
Yeah, there are so many different types of patterns in the bunch that hopefully there’s a pattern in there for everyone!
